Optional Homework for Christmas 2015
The Fairy homework should keep you out of mischief over the Christmas break.
Bear in mind that homework is optional and you don't have to do it if you don't want to!
Please write your story/poem/article (no more than 1200 words) on anything to do with fairies and "dress" your cut-out fairy. You can paint her, crayon her, sew paperclips, sequins, buttons or lace on her. Just have a well-dressed fairy by the time we start next term, if you please. (Tuesday 12th January, 2016)
We will start reading the stories on 12th January and if necessary readings can stretch over a couple of weeks.
The stories will be read and judged by Les Cooper's Reading Group in Caversham, and they will pick 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
So don't forget to bring a spare copy for him to take to his Group. And try to avoid getting beer stains and greasy turkey gravy marks on them.
The fairy mannequins will be judged by Joan, Dick's wife, who is an artist. She will also pick 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
Please write your name on the back to ensure it is not pinched and someone claims credit for your artistic ability.
As soon as the results are received there will be an award ceremony and Dick can take photos to go in the local paper and we shall all become famous. (Sorry - even more famous - or should that be INfamous?)
