Confession

I want to tell you a true story. When I first came to Thames Valley Writers, I didn't tell any of my friends. You see, I'd said for years that I wanted to write a book and now I was actually doing something about it, I didn't want to be put off by their mickey-taking. So there was great mystery amongst them about what I was doing with my Tuesday Nights. The consensus of opinion was that I had joined a slimming club, and so between us, to this day, Thames Valley Writers' Circle is known as "Fat Fighters".
